Aberdeen Physiotherapy was established in 1978 and has a reputation as one of Aberdeen's leading physiotherapy practices. All our physiotherapists are experienced, fully qualified and state registered. They are all members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

SUSAN SPENCE

Susie graduated in Glasgow in 1987. She gained valuable sports injury experience through working with the Scottish Badminton team. Latterly she has developed an interest in spinal problems completing a post graduate certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy and qualifying as a Pilates instructor. She is also qualified in Acupuncture.

SANDRA ATHAWES

Sandra graduated in Edinburgh in 1987. She has many years of experience of working in private physiotherapy practice treating general musculo-skeletal problems. Sandra is also qualified in Acupuncture.

LINDSAY SMART

Lindsay graduated from RGU in 2003 and also has a degree in Sports & Exercise Science. He has completed a post graduate certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy along with certificates in Acupuncture. Lindsay has a keen interest in golf and football injuries and currently does weekend work for Rangers FC with their Youth Development Programme.

AIMEE MACLEOD

Aimee graduated from RGU in 2004 and also has a degree in Physiology. She combines working in the NHS with private work. As a physiotherapist for Shetland Inter Island Games team Aimee has a range of experience with Sports Injuries. She has also recently completed a diploma from the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine

VAL PATERSON

Val has been with the practice since 2000 and took over the role of Practice Manager in 2007. She is responsible for all management and administration of the practice with the assistance of our Receptionists.

EMMA PATERSON

Emma qualified from RGU in 2006. Since graduating she has gained experience working in the NHS and overseas in New Zealand. Additionally she developed her skills in sports physiotherapy by working with youth football teams. Recently she has completed a post graduate certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy and training in Pilates. Emma has also achieved her certificate in Acupuncture.

STEWART MACDONALD

Stewart graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a 1st Class Honours Degree in physiotherapy. Working within the NHS and the Private sector Stewart has a keen interest in Musculoskeletal and Sports Injuries and has been part of the physiotherapy team at the World Badminton championships in Glasgow and to a National League Division 2 rugby club.
